apARTments

Kelly and I just decided once we come into money we’re going to buy an apartment building and renovate it into a funky, unique collective where only artists can live. We will have an interview process, going over their portfolio, mindframe, near and long-term artistic path. We’ll keep the rent low because we understand they are creating, but they have to make us one piece per quarter. Also, we’ll have a communal studio space if possible that’s open 24 hours and soundproofed so they can get wild if they want to. Also, we’ll have a quarterly party for the neighborhood and a quarterly talent show where if they don’t deliver they’re voted off the island. Judging is based on impact and estimated time in preparation. Can’t allow for laziness, but if it only took a day or two yet blows our minds we will totally accept it.

…I love this idea.
