Man Camping Trip with Dan and Jeff - A couple weeks ago I went on a five day camping trip with two gents for some man-on-man outdoor action. Dan and I spent the first three days at the Kern River drinking beers, tubing, eating chili, smokin’ doobies, and jumping off rocks. We found a free camping spot (BLM) and camped right on the river. You’ll see halfway through the vid our attempt at riverboarding, which for a pipedream actually worked out better than what I thought would happen - a branch snapping and Dan drowning under the rapids with the rope around his neck. Fortunately no serious injuries occurred on this trip that duct tape couldn’t solve.
Next we drove down to San Diego, picked up Jeff and headed out to the mountains north of Lake Morena. We slow-cooked some delicious achiote pork buried in the ground and blind tasted 28 of Jeff and Dan’s amazing home brews. Many games of horseshoes were played where you got to pelt your opponent with a water balloon for every ringer and win. With a Pall Mall in my mouth and beer in my hand, I finally evolved to my mature redneck Pokemon form and destroyed these city slickers with skilled, drunken precision.
Jeff had the gall to bring veggie burgers, so I wrapped them in bacon and they were delicious.
Great week that really helped clear my head and reinvigorated my soul.
